Back Where I Come From
Jack Harlow describes me best: "Bluegrass girl but she got big dreams". I grew up in the heart of the Bluegrass and was raised country to the core, y'all. While Kentucky will always be home, it just wasn't... me. I have an adventurous spirit so I moved away for college and really never came back. Since then I've graduated college twice, earned an MBA, and moved to Cincinnati where I still live with my dogs, Beau and Bridget. I am so blessed but I didn't really know myself until a few years ago. How is that possible? Well, a lot has happened in my life in the last five years...
A failed engagement, a life-altering illness, a journey to mental wellness... it has been a long, strange trip but one I am so thankful for taking. If talking about my journey helps even one person on their path, then this blog will have been worth it.
Where I'm Headed
I wish I knew... I'm still getting to know myself after 30-some odd years and learning to embrace the uncertainty of life instead of fighting it. I want to focus less on my destination and more on my journey. My hope is that sharing my story will reinforce that approach, along with my gratitude and appreciation. That's why I'm here and I hope you'll join me.
